Widely known for carving out my own unique paths to success, empowerment and personal growth, I launched a benevolent crusade for us to look bravely at the things we rarely discuss in entrepreneurship - courage, fear, vulnerability, empathy and competition – asking, “What does success look like without the agency to self-advocate?”
Below is a list of events in the Greater Toronto Area, surrounding Black Women's healthcare, in honour of my mother's diagnosis with the BRCA gene and late stage Ovarian Cancer, two generations of reproductive Cancers, and undergoing a partial hysterectomy as a result of two large fibroids. We will dive deeper into my story, and explore the unique needs and issues in Black Women’s health.

The end, not just of any remaining fertility and lifelong trauma and rejection I experienced throughout my life, but the official closure of stagnant energy and unhealed wounds.
The womb is not simply the space where life is conceived. It is the place where creativity is born, sexuality is honoured, and where unresolved traumas and conflicts are stored.

Early screening means checking for cancer BEFORE you develop any symptoms. Regular screening for cervical, breast, colorectal and prostate cancers increases the chance for early treatment of these cancers.

Genetic Testing Initiative for Cancer Risk in Black Women
Genetic Testing can save lives. And while overall testing rates are on the rise, Black women are less likely to have access to this simple test.
Today, we are proud to launch Take Action, Take Con trol, A genetic Testing Initiative for Cancer Risk in Black women, which seeks to close this gap in Canada and empower Black Women to learn more about what genetic testing for hereditary cancer can mean for them and their families.

Women’s College Hospital’s Community Voices Survey (Closed)
What’s your experience receiving healthcare in Ontario as a Black patient? How can health services be improved to meet your needs? We want to hear from Black women, trans and non-binary folks over the age of 16. Share your voice by filling out Women’s College Hospital’s Community Voices Survey.
The results of this study will be used to understand what needs aren’t being met in the current healthcare landscape, shape our strategy and inform the development of new programs and services to ensure we continue to provide the best possible care, and support future research on the delivery of healthcare to diverse communities.

Black Women's Healthcare Summit
Organized by the Women's College Hospital Foundation, and presented by Scotiabank.
A transformative evening of education and networking, exploring the unique needs and issues in Black women’s health; and gathering place for those who believe in allyship, advocacy, and action surrounding Black women’s health, the health of their families, and their communities.
